Josh Held Design is a full service design agency with the sole mission of evolving the designed environment and how it is experienced.  With over 15 years of creating and reinventing hospitality design, Josh Held has amassed a collection of work focused on Hotels, Casinos, Nightclubs, Restaurants, Theaters, Retail, and Residential.  It is with this cumulative experience and knowledge that Josh created Josh Held Design , to work with an ever-expanding roster of clients and evolve the state of hospitality design, while providing a more personal and direct relationship between the client and designer. 

Josh Held Design has called New York City it’s home since 2009 creating projects nationally and internationally including New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Palm Springs, Atlantic City, Singapore and Dubai.  Their most recent design work includes the renovation of the W Hotel Times Square, Dream Hotel Downtown and Midtown New York, a new nightclub at Borgata Atlantic City, Ground Central Coffee Company, Marquee NYC, TAO Las Vegas, Tres Carnes Restaurant and LIGHT Las Vegas.

After receiving a Bachelor of Architecture from University of Texas at Austin in 1995, he immediately moved to New York City where, within a few years, he joined the Rockwellgroup.  He spent 11 years as a Senior Associate garnering numerous awards and nominations for projects that immersed him in all aspects of hospitality and entertainment architecture.  It was during those years that Josh mastered his ability to bring concepts of any size to the physical world while maintaining an exceptional level of custom, one of a kind, detailing. 

Prior to founding Josh Held Design, Josh was a Senior Associate at Zeff Design where, among other things, he lead the design team responsible for the 2 million square foot expansion of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas which was completed in 2010 and included two new hotel towers and a 40,000 square foot casino.

It is with this cumulative experience and knowledge that Josh created Josh Held Design with the purpose of bringing his vision to an even larger group of clients while providing a higher level of service and personal interaction than can be found elsewhere. 

Josh Held has been recognized with Hospitality Design’s Wave of the Future Award honoring those who are young enough to be considered visionary, but tested enough to be accomplished.  In addition Josh Held Design has been recognized multiple times by Boutique Design, Hospitality Design, and other design organizations for its extraordinary work.
